Treatments for stage C liver cancer
Targeted therapy is the standard treatment for stage C liver cancer. It uses drugs to target specific molecules (such as proteins) on the surface of cancer cells. These molecules help send signals that tell cells to grow or divide. By targeting these molecules, the drugs stop the growth and spread of cancer cells while limiting harm to normal cells. The targeted therapy drug used for stage C liver cancer is sorafenib (Nexavar).
You may be asked if you want to join a clinical trial for liver cancer. Find out more about clinical trials.
