Nancy McKay’s leadership and volunteer experience exemplifies a collaborative approach with partners in the community, business, government, health and social policy environments. She has experienced success as a senior executive, consultant, manager, direct service provider, and volunteer. From 2014 to 2017, Nancy held the role of Director, Stakeholder and Community Relations at Canadian National Railway. In 2013 Nancy was the recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal. Nancy has also provided far-reaching management and front-line services to numerous and varied community, provincial, national and international organizations.
Now I know that I will help someone with cancer even after I’m gone. It’s a footprint I want to leave behind me.
Great progress has been made
Some cancers, such as thyroid and testicular, have survival rates of over 90%. Other cancers, such as pancreatic, brain and esophageal, continue to have very low survival rates.
