Canadian Cancer Society invites others to join new committee members

SASKATCHEWAN/ALBERTA – The Canadian Cancer Society is pleased to announce that Relay For Life will take place in Lloydminster in 2015.

“After last week’s announcement we have had community members come forward with an interest in holding the event this year. We feel that there is enough support to make the event possible, so we will go ahead with planning a fantastic event again this year,” said Keith Karasin, Executive Director of the Society.

Relay For Life means a lot to the participants, many of whom return year after year. For cancer survivors who take part in the Victory Lap, Relay is a way of seeing and feeling the strong support of the community.
“I want to thank our past Lloydminster committee members for their dedication and hard work in making Relay For Life possible last year and the many years before that”, says Karasin. “We hope that last year’s committee and all previous committee members will be able to attend this year’s event so that we can honour them for their efforts.”

This year’s Lloydminster Relay For Life will take place on May 29, 2015, at Bud Miller Park.
