Toronto -

Like so many other Canadians, the volunteers and staff of the Canadian Cancer Society were deeply saddened to hear of the untimely death of Jim Flaherty.

“Mr. Flaherty was a passionate supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society and inspirational in his efforts to improve the healthcare for millions of Canadians,” said Pamela Fralick, President and CEO.  “Over the years, the Society has had the great pleasure of working with Mr. Flaherty on many issues impacting those with cancer. Our thoughts are with his family at this time of loss."
