If you have stopped working because of COVID-19, the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) may provide you with temporary income support. You may also qualify for other nationwide or regional financial support programs.

A cancer diagnosis can make you feel alone and raise many questions and concerns. For family and friends, caregiving can be a lonely and exhausting experience. Our online community – CancerConnection.ca – helps people with cancer and their loved ones share their experiences and build supportive relationships.

    CancerConnection.ca is a safe and welcoming place for discussion, support and the exchange of information about managing cancer in your life.

    No one should have to face cancer alone. Connecting with others who understand your situation and how you feel can help you cope. Knowing what to expect throughout your cancer experience can make you feel more hopeful and less anxious.

  • What can I expect?

    CancerConnection.ca community members take part in discussions, write their own blogs, join groups and exchange messages offering emotional support and practical advice. Membership in this community is free.

    Here are just a few of the topics community members are discussing:

    • stress and waiting for test results
    • coping with hair loss due to chemotherapy
    • talking to children about a cancer diagnosis
    • balancing a career while going through treatment
    • dealing with the emotional stress of caregiving

    Trained moderators support the community, ensuring that it remains safe and supportive.

  • How do I sign up?

    Simply visit CancerConnection.ca, register and create a profile.

  • Who can use this service?

    People with cancer and their caregivers are invited to join CancerConnection.ca along with cancer survivors and former caregivers who can share their experiences. CancerConnection.ca is intended for those who are 18 and over.
