Multisector team grants in prevention research evaluation

The Multisector Team Grants in Prevention Research is a program offered by the Canadian Cancer Society with the purpose of funding research and building capacity in the area of cancer prevention and risk reduction. It incorporates a unique element requiring groups of investigators to work collaboratively with the CCS on addressing key cancer prevention and/or risk reduction priorities to influence CCS programs, activities, and/or public policy work.

CCS decided to launch an in-depth evaluation of the Multisector Team Grants in Prevention Research program following its inaugural competition because it was a new program unlike any other offered by CCS. The findings report provides an outline of the intent and methodological design of the evaluation, a summary of results and a discussion of the findings.
