The number of DNA changes within a tumour could predict the effectiveness of immunotherapies in treating it. The more changes a tumour has, the more easily it can be found by the immune system making immunotherapies more effective. Scientists are now developing blood tests that can measure the amount of DNA changes faster and more accurately than current tests which require a large tumour sample.
