CCS adapting to COVID-19 realities to support Canadians during and after the pandemic
Volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society is a great opportunity for you to make a positive impact in your community, be part of a team, share your experience, learn new skills and develop lasting friendships. Volunteers are critical to our accomplishments and we wouldn’t be able to support, inform and empower those touched by cancer without you.
When you join our nationwide team, you have the combined strength of volunteers from across the country standing behind you to help you make a difference in someone’s life.
Do you want to make a real difference in the fight against cancer and in the lives of people living with the disease? By choosing to fight with us against all cancers, you’ll put your skills to good use with the largest charitable cancer organization in the country!
Being a volunteer at the CCS is:
- Advancing the fight against cancer in your environment
- Meeting interesting people
- Using your abilities and acquiring new ones
- Advocate for a cause you care about
- Sharing the satisfaction of helping others
Current Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer for Daffodil Month
Volunteers are urgently needed in April. When you volunteer just a few hours of your time during Daffodil Month, you help save lives and support people who are living with cancer. Volunteering is a small gesture that makes an enormous difference. From March 22 to March 25, as Daffodil Month approaches, the Canadian Cancer Society will sell thousands of fresh daffodils across Quebec.
Participate in the fight against all cancers by giving a few hours of your time to sell flowers. By joining our volunteer team, you will contribute to saving more lives.
CIBC Run for the Cure
Planning and organizing the Run takes time, passion and creative thinking. In partnership with volunteers and staff, you could be part of something truly extraordinary in your community. Be a part of this national event where success depends on local leadership. With your community insight, you will raise awareness, encourage participation, and drive fundraising results. This year's Run is on October 6, 2019.
