Pancreatic cancer statistics
To provide the most current cancer statistics, statistical methods are used to estimate the number of new cancer cases and deaths until actual data become available.
Incidence and mortality
Incidence is the total number of new cases of cancer. Mortality is the number of deaths due to cancer.
In 2020, an estimated:
- 6,000 Canadians will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
- 5,300 Canadians will die from pancreatic cancer.
- 3,100 men will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and 2,700 will die from it.
- 2,900 women will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and 2,600 will die from it.
