Bladder cancer statistics
To provide the most current cancer statistics, statistical methods are used to estimate the number of new cancer cases and deaths until actual data become available.
Incidence and mortality @(Model.HeadingTag)>
Incidence is the total number of new cases of cancer. Mortality is the number of deaths due to cancer.
It is estimated that in 2023:
- 13,400 Canadians will be diagnosed with bladder cancer.
- 2,600 Canadians will die from bladder cancer.
- 10,200 men will be diagnosed with bladder cancer and 1,850 will die from it.
- 3,200 women will be diagnosed with bladder cancer and 720 will die from it.
Estimates for bladder cancer for 2023 may be overestimated because data from Quebec were not available at the time of analysis. Future estimates will correct any overestimation.
