Bruce Rothney joined Barclays Canada in 2010 as president, CEO and country head. After beginning his career on Wall Street with Goldman Sachs, he moved to RBC Capital Markets in 1991. Over the ensuing 19 years, he held a variety of leadership roles, including global head of investment banking and deputy chairman. He was also appointed a senior vice-president of Royal Bank Financial Group. Bruce is a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a B.Comm from the University of Manitoba.
Great progress has been made
Some cancers, such as thyroid and testicular, have survival rates of over 90%. Other cancers, such as pancreatic, brain and esophageal, continue to have very low survival rates.
