Change cancer forever at Relay For Life

What is your Relay theme_PE

Help change cancer forever by joining the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.  It’s a celebration of survival, a tribute to loved ones lost and a night of fun, friendship and fundraising.

The non-competitive event invites teams of 10-15 people to set up a campsite and jog, walk or leisurely stroll around a track. This year, participants can register for the full 12 hours (6:00 p.m.- 6:00 a.m.) or from 6:00 p.m. until midnight.

The Relay experience begins with an inspiring victory lap with cancer survivors. Teams then take to the track, parading in creative, whimsical costumes. One member from each team is asked to be on the track throughout the event.  Entertainment, activities and great food keep us motivated and energized.

As the sun sets, we begin the luminary ceremony.  Candles surrounding the walking track are lit in memory, or in honor, of people we love who have been touched by cancer. The candles light the way for walkers throughout the night.  It’s an image you’ll never forget.

Form a team, join as a survivor or become a volunteer.  Whichever you choose, we guarantee a fun and memorable experience.
