Did you know that when found early, prostate cancer has a nearly 100% survival rate? Unfortunately that doesn't always happen, and 11 Canadian men still die of prostate cancer every day. The reality is that when prostate cancer is found late, only about 1 in 4 people will survive.

That’s why raising awareness about prostate cancer is so important, and on June 19 you can get involved and help educate your friends, family, colleagues and followers by supporting Plaid for Dad.

Plaid for Dad is a fun and easy way for people across Canada to raise funds by going plaid to help build a world where no one fears prostate cancer.. Since 2015, Plaid for Dad has raised $2.7 million for groundbreaking prostate cancer research.

For actor Eric McCormack, the prostate cancer cause is very close to his heart. This year marks his fifth year joining Canadians across the country by wearing plaid on the Friday before Father’s Day.

“I lost my dad to prostate cancer in 2008 so Father’s Day is always a little tough. That’s why I’m proud to be a Plaid for Dad ambassador and to take part in helping to raise vital funds for the Canadian Cancer Society,” says Eric. “Funds raised in support of Plaid for Dad will be invested in groundbreaking research and a future where no one fears prostate cancer.”
