Montreal, April 19, 2
018 —
The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is very proud to announce that it has
received the Conseil québécois d’agrément (CQA)’s Engagement qualité (quality commitment)
certification.
The CQA uses an evaluation process similar to the ISO standard for
companies. Its Engagement qualité certification
confirms that the CCS applies daily organizational bases and structures to
ensure rigorous management, as well as high quality service and security
standards. With an overall rating of 92%, this certification is a huge
recognition of the CCS’s first-rate programs.
“When Quebecers see the Engagement qualité seal,
they know they are supporting or being supported by an organization with
recognized services, delivered by a dedicated and competent staff,”
explains Suzanne Dubois, Executive Director of the CCS – Quebec.
“Healthcare professionals who refer their patients to us can do so with
peace of mind, knowing that our practices are exemplary.”
In its evaluation report, the CQA highlighted some of the CCS’s strengths:
• The respectful and empathetic relationships it has built with Quebecers.
• The commitment and involvement shown by CCS staff and volunteers in
delivering services.
• A diversified offer that meets the needs of people living with cancer.
• Secure, high-calibre facilities and equipment, and welcoming locations.
• Rigorous quality controls.
• Rigorous financial management.
“The Engagement qualité stamp says that the CCS
is committed to maintaining high standards of excellence, a distinction
resulting from the heartfelt work of our volunteers and employees. We’re
very proud to be one of the first organizations to be recognized in this
way by the CQA,” adds Ms Dubois.
