Learn about cutting-edge research and the patients who benefit

01 February 2016

TORONTO -

The latest issue of Fighting for Life: Cancer Research, a publication that introduces readers to Canadian Cancer Society-funded researchers, as well as patients who have benefitted from these scientists’ innovative work, is now available.

The Society invests in high-impact research that is helping to prevent cases of cancer, save more lives through improved treatment and improve the quality of life of people living with cancer. The articles, written in plain language, put human faces on research and underscore the importance of funding cancer research.

The compelling stories illustrate how cutting-edge research enhances the lives of people living with cancer, as well as increases success rates of treatments by identifying the disease as early as possible through advances in screening and diagnostics tools.
