Welcome to The Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute
On February 1 2009, the Canadian Cancer Society integrated the operations of the National Cancer Institute of Canada (NCIC), creating the Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute.
The Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute will continue to build the key activities of the NCIC. It will fund the most promising cancer research, through its world-renowned peer review process, as well as offering programs that help train, develop and support the next generation of cancer researchers. The new organization will have many opportunities to become a stronger voice in the cancer research community, strengthening links between researchers and donors and ultimately strengthening the Society's ability to attract increased donor dollars for research that will continue to make a difference in the lives of Canadians.
