Stay with us

Our lodges are welcoming homes away from home for people with cancer who need to travel to receive treatment. Our caring staff and volunteers are trained to help meet your practical needs during cancer treatment. The lodges also offer social and emotional support through different programs and activities. They are places where you can meet other people with cancer and their families, who understand what you are going through.

Each lodge has unique amenities and services available.

Our lodges offer an affordable place to stay for people with cancer and their caregivers. They are located near cancer treatment centres and major hospitals. Each lodge offers a variety of amenities to make you feel at home.

Welcoming and supportive

Staying at our lodges can make you feel supported, informed and empowered. The family-like atmosphere offers comfort and friendship during your stay. It can also help you develop a support network for when you return home. 

Connected to a hub of services 

Our lodges offer a variety of services from wellness programs to wig and breast prosthesis programs. We provide emotional and psychological support that can help you after you leave our lodge to continue your cancer journey.

If you live in British Columbia

We have 4 lodges in British Columbia for people who need to travel away from home to receive cancer treatment.

The lodge is conveniently located close to downtown Vancouver. It is near the BC Cancer Agency and the Vancouver General Hospital, Eye Care Centre and Skin Care Centre. The lodge has easy access to transit and is close to shops and restaurants.

Accommodations

Our facility offers a total of 32 rooms with 62 beds for people with cancer and their caregivers. Most are shared occupancy (2 beds per room) with an attached bathroom. We have 2 private rooms.

The lodge is near the Royal Jubilee Hospital and within walking distance of the BC Cancer Agency. It has easy access to public transit, shopping, banking and entertainment.
 

Accommodations

Our facility offers a total of 20 rooms with 38 beds for people with cancer and their caregivers. Most are shared occupancy (2 beds per room) with an attached bathroom. We have 2 wheelchair-accessible rooms.

The Lodge is located next to the cancer clinic and hospital. It is close to Okanagan Lake, city parks and downtown Kelowna. The lodge operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and only closes during Christmas Holidays.

Our facility offers a total of 19 rooms with 35 beds for people with cancer and their caregivers. Most are shared occupancy (2 beds per room) with an attached bathroom. We also have 2 rooms with queen-sized beds and 2 wheelchair-accessible rooms.

Our facility offers a total of 18 rooms with 34 beds for people with cancer and their caregivers. Most are shared occupancy (2 beds per room) with an attached bathroom. We have 4 wheelchair-accessible rooms.

Daffodil Place offers a home away from home for people with cancer and their caregivers who live far away from St. John’s and must travel there to receive cancer care.

The lodge is a 5-minute drive from the Dr H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre and the St. Clair’s Mercy Hospital. It is within walking distances of grocery stores, pharmacies and other amenities. The lodge operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Reservations can be made between the hours of 8:00am-12:00 am, seven days a week. They are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are made based on availability and a request made for you through the healthcare system.

 
Accommodations

Our facility offers a total of 24 rooms with 35 beds for people with cancer and their caregivers. We charge a subsidized rate of $30 per bed per night for first person and $20 for every additional person. This fee includes 3 delicious meals and 2 snacks.

Our facility welcomes people with cancer, as well as a caregiver or loved one. Our private rooms offer:

  • either 2 single beds or 1 queen-sized bed, with an attached bathroom (2 rooms are wheelchair-accessible)
  • telephone for free local calls
  • satellite TV
  • internet access
  • small refrigerator
  • linens and towels

If you live in Nova Scotia

Sobey Cancer Support Centre

The Sobey Cancer Support Centre is within walking distance of the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre. Two bus stops are located right outside the lodge. The lodge is open 7 days a week. The front desk is attended 24 hours a day. Lodge staff are available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Accommodations

Our facility welcomes people with cancer, as well as up to 2 family members or caregivers. We have a total of 32 shared-occupancy rooms, 2 of which are wheelchair accessible. Our rooms include:

  • a private bathroom
  • free Wi-Fi
  • some toiletries, as well as laundry detergent and fabric softener, are available at reception

All reservations need to be made with the help of your care team.  For some clients, a subsidized nightly fee of $85 may apply.

The Jacques-Cantin Lodge offers a home away from home to people who need to travel to Montreal for their cancer treatment.

The Jacques-Cantin lodge is right beside the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital. It is close to public transportation (the Assomption metro station is just a few minutes away) and major roads. The lodge is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except some statutory holidays).

Accommodations

Bed linens, pillows, towels and washcloths are provided in our 3 types of rooms. Rooms also have a shared television, mini refrigerator and air conditioning.

  • semi-private rooms have 2 single beds, a divider curtain for greater privacy and an attached bathroom with shower
  • private rooms have a double bed (the bathroom with shower is shared with another private room)
  • private with companion rooms (which you can share with a family member or caregiver) have 2 single beds and an attached private bathroom with a shower and bath
Our lodge charges a nominal fee of $30 per bed per night to people with cancer, $50 per bed per night for caregivers and $80 per bed per night for other clients. Our prices include 3 meals and snacks.
