Talk to someone who's been there
Peer match program is a free and confidential telephone-based service for adults 18 years and older who have been diagnosed with cancer or who are caring for someone with cancer.
What can I expect from this program?
You'll have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with a trained volunteer who has had a similar cancer experience. Volunteers listen, offer encouragement and share ideas for coping. While volunteers are trained to provide support, they are not mental health professionals, and our program is not a counselling service.
People who have used peer support in the past have told us that they felt less anxious, more hopeful and better able to cope after speaking with their volunteer.
