Smokers’ Helpline is a free, confidential service for smokers. Call us if you want to quit, are thinking about quitting or have stopped smoking and need support.

You can call us even if you’re not ready to quit. We’re not here to judge – we’re here to help.

Trained quit coaches can help you develop a personalized quit plan, answer your questions about quitting and refer you to programs and services in your community.

You can quit – we can help! Call us at 1-877-513-5333.

We offer smokers the support they need to succeed, and in fact, 90% of Manitoban callers say they would recommend Smokers’ Helpline to family and friends.

What you can expect when you call

You’ll speak one-on-one with a trained quit specialist who can answer your questions about quitting, offer you advice on how to quit and even help you come up with a personal quit plan, including follow-up calls when you’re ready. Or they can just listen if you need to talk about smoking.

Our quit specialists can also send you free booklets and point you to local resources to help you even more on your journey to become smoke-free.

The fax referral program for healthcare professionals

The fax referral program is designed to enable healthcare professionals to quickly and efficiently refer their clients to Smokers’ Helpline.

If a client expresses an interest in quitting, ask them to fill out a fax referral form. Fax the completed form to Smokers’ Helpline, and the rest is in the hands of our quit specialists who assess an individual’s needs, listen to their concerns, provide tips and information and develop a quit plan.

For more information about the fax referral program, contact the Smokers' Helpline Coordinator at 204-789-0886.
