Confidential and Free Quit Smoking Services

Contact the I QUIT NOW quit-smoking specialists available by phone (1 866 JARRETE (1 866 527-7383)), by Internet on iquitnow.qc.ca, in person in the Quit Smoking Centres or by text message in order to benefit from their expertise.

They will help you build a customized plan and support your efforts to bring it to a successful conclusion.

With the I QUIT NOW specialists, you will learn to:

  • Manage your stress and difficult situations.
  • Let go of your cravings to smoke.
  • Prevent relapses.
  • Adopt healthy lifestyle habits.

Smokers Helpline

Smokers’ Helpline is a free, confidential service. We offer support and information about quitting smoking and tobacco use. We can help you develop a personal quit plan and refer you to programs and services in your community. And if you want to support someone who’s trying to quit, we can give you tips on how to help.

Smokers’ Helpline is flexible – you can choose what works best for you.

We have bilingual and interpreter services in over 100 languages. Open 7 days a week (except statutory holidays). Hours vary by province or territory.

Are you First Nations, Inuit or Métis? Do you want to quit smoking or vaping commercial tobacco? Talk Tobacco is for you!

Talk Tobacco provides culturally specific, free and confidential support and information about quitting smoking or vaping. Program services were created with input and guidance from First Nations, Inuit and Métis partners, community members and healthcare providers.

Talk Tobacco services are available in British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan. We have bilingual and interpreter services in over 16 Indigenous languages. Open 7 days a week (except statutory holidays). Hours vary by province.

Build Smoke Free

Build Smoke-Free gives construction workers at certain EllisDon sites free resources and information to help them:

  • increase their attempts to quit smoking or vaping
  • get support and self-help resources
  • build social and physical work environments that support quitting smoking or vaping

Build Smoke-Free is partnership program of the Canadian Cancer Society, Ottawa Public Health and EllisDon. It receives financial support from the Public Health Agency of Canada.

This program that you and your team have put together have given me the tools not to fail. The information and the coaches are right there for anyone to use. Better health, more money in pocket and being part of a smoke free society.
