Research Horizons was developed by the Canadian Cancer Society as a resource for Canadians affected by cancer, healthcare professionals, media and the general public. With a focus on research breakthroughs, the website provides information on the newest technologies being developed around the world that will change the survivorship curve and improve the quality of life for patients living with cancer now and in the future.
Building upon the Canadian Cancer Society’s experience, knowledge and network, Research Horizons offers the latest news on trends in technologies, policy and research. Content focuses on four main pillars of research:
- Immunotherapy – how a person’s own protective immune system can be harnessed to treat cancer
