Indoors or outdoors, there’s no safe way to get a tan. Tanning beds and sun lamps release UV rays that start the tanning process in the skin – just like the sun. Tanned skin is damaged skin. And when the tan fades, the damage is still there.
Because of smoke inhalation and exposure to toxic chemicals, I live with the fear of cancer virtually every day.

For cancer survivors, the Canadian Cancer Society provides a unique opportunity to celebrate their courage in the fight against cancer. During hundreds of Relay For Life events across the country, thousands of survivors join together for the Survivors’ Victory Lap.
