Healthy habits for families

It’s never too early to teach your kids about healthy lifestyle choices and the importance of knowing what is normal for their body. As a parent or caregiver, there’s a lot you can do to help them be active, eat well and be safe in the sun. You can also find out about risk factors and environmental exposures that may harm young children. After all, we already know that about half of all cancers can be prevented through healthy living and policies that protect the health of Canadians. Healthy habits now can help your children reduce their risk of cancer later in life.

Being smoke-free and protecting your family from second-hand smoke is one of the most important ways to keep your kids healthy.
