Susan Robinson's story
How early detection can save lives.
My family doctor and my surgeon both have told me I would have had full-blown colon cancer within a year.
Susan Robinson is living proof that colorectal cancer screening saves lives. She used a convenient and simple at-home screening test that helped detect a large, precancerous growth, which she was able to have removed in surgery.
“My family doctor and my surgeon both have told me I would have had full-blown colon cancer within a year,” said Susan, who lives in Saskatchewan.
Thanks to the simple screening test, Susan has never had colon cancer and remains cancer-free today. The Canadian Cancer Society understands that early detection helps save lives, which is why we have been actively promoting screening and detection programs for decades.
