2015 Ontario Impact Award Recipients

The Canadian Cancer Society Impact Awards recognize impact, innovation and excellence. They provide the Society with the chance to celebrate those who are making a difference in the fight against cancer. They are the provincial and community levels of honour we can present to an individual or group.

  • Leadership

    These awards are offered annually to volunteers who have made significant contributions as leaders in the fight against cancer.

    Award of Courage
    Volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional courage in his/her personal battle with cancer.

    Art Sibley

    Caregiver Award
    Volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional support to a spouse, partner, family member or friend in their battle with cancer.

    Tammy Hettinger

    Inspirational Achievement in Volunteer Leadership Award
    Individual or group of Society volunteers who has exhibited exemplary leadership and made a significant contribution.

    École Secondaire Catholique Thériault Youth Troop (Timmins)   

    Inspirational Achievement in Volunteer Youth Leadership Award
    Society youth volunteer (up to 25 years) who has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills.

  • Program Delivery

    Distinction in Public Policy Award
    Volunteer or group who has made a significant contribution to the fight against cancer within the public policy domain.

    Relay For Life Champion Award – Leadership
    This award is offered to a committee of volunteers and staff within a community who have displayed proven revenue growth and demonstrated exemplary leadership in overseeing a Relay For Life event.
