Why volunteer?

Volunteering with the Society is a great opportunity for you to make a positive impact in your community, be part of a team, share your experience, learn new skills and develop lasting friendships. Volunteers are critical to our accomplishments and we wouldn’t be able to support, inform and empower those touched by cancer without you.

When you join our nationwide team, you have the combined strength of volunteers from across the country standing behind you to help you make a difference in someone’s life.

About 15,000 people in British Columbia and the Yukon lend their hands and hearts to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of people living with cancer. If you would like to join our volunteer team, click here to search for opportunities, based on your interests and preferences.

Once you have applied to volunteer, you can sign up to attend a volunteer orientation, share volunteer opportunities with friends, log your volunteer time and accomplishments, and review your past involvement.
