Prevention and advocacy opportunities
Raise awareness of cancer risk and help your local community office actively promote healthy living within your community and amongst your fellow students. Student volunteers of the Society have been taking action against tanning beds, asbestos, tobacco contraband and many issues concerning cancer in Canada. If taking action against cancer is your thing, consider becoming a youth advocate.
Big Tobacco Lies
Big Tobacco Lies is a youth-led awareness and advocacy campaign with a goal of exposing the deceptive and sneaky tactics used by the tobacco industry to target youth to get them hooked on their products.
Big Tobacco Lies - Tobacco Industry Action Committee (TIAC)
TIAC members lead campaign activities in their regions and support Ambassadors to carry out campaign activities in their schools and communities.
Applications are received in august for the upcoming school year.

Youth 4 Action is a program designed to empower youth to educate others about cancer prevention and advocate for policy change in their communities.
We invite youth groups ages 14+ from across Ontario to use their skills and creativity to lead a project about a cancer-related topic that you’re passionate about. When you sign up as a Youth 4 Action team, you’ll receive training, resources, and all the tools you’ll need to create a great campaign at school or in your community. There’s even a grant program available to provide up to $300 for your project!
Grant applications are accepted in September and February.
