Become a volunteer

We have more impact, against more cancers, in more communities, than any other cancer charity in Canada.

To volunteer in your community, apply online or print and complete our volunteer application form.

Return the form to your nearest local Society office. We will review your application and contact you to discuss current opportunities.

  • Volunteer drivers (various locations)

As a volunteer driver, you will pick up people receiving cancer treatment from their home and take them to their treatment centre. You’ll be there to offer assistance at a time when they need it the most. And when their treatment is done, you’ll make sure they get home safely. With the kindness and support of volunteer drivers, people with cancer can focus on getting through their treatment.

We are looking for volunteer drivers in the following communities:

    • Airdrie
    • Okotoks
    • Edmonton
    • St Albert
    • Sherwood Park

For more information, please contact Erica Bell, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator.

The position will provide administrative support to the office in various tasks such as answering phones, preparing materials for upcoming events, data entry, and other administrative tasks as required.

The interested individual will need to be available for at least 4 hours per week during office hours (Monday-Friday) We are seeking someone who is comfortable working on their own, comfortable speaking on the phone and has excellent customer service skills.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to give back to the community and also gain office experience

Join a planning committee

If you are organized and enjoy working as part of a team, help organize a Society fundraising event. Your commitment may last several weeks or months, and your time may vary from a couple of hours each month to several hours leading up to an event. Getting involved as an event leadership volunteer is a great way for you to have fun, build community spirit and raise money to fight cancer!
