Caring for your fresh daffodils

When your flowers arrive, fill a clean shallow vase about halfway with fresh, room-temperature water. Trim each stem underwater at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife and then plunge the stem into the bottom of your vase. For best care, fill the vase with fresh lukewarm water each day. Give daffodils their own vase as their stems give off a compound toxic to other flowers. Daffodils prefer a cool spot for maximum life.

If you can’t care for your flowers right away, leave them in their packaging and put them in your refrigerator or another cool spot.
