Become a corporate supporter
Through the support of our valued corporate donors, the Canadian Cancer Society continues to have more impact, against more cancers, in more communities, than any other cancer charity in Canada.
Join us in the fight for life
The Canadian Cancer Society fights all types of cancers on multiple fronts.
In the fight for life we:
Lead cancer research across Canada.
Influence public policy to improve the health of Canadians.
Focus our support programs on the greatest needs of patients and caregivers.
Engage more Canadians in the fight against cancers.
As the leading cause of premature death in Canada, cancer touches everyone’s life – your employees, your customers, your associates and your family and friends.
Meet our corporate partners.
There are several ways your organization can join the fight!
Corporate donation
Your donation to the Canadian Cancer Society sends a strong message that the fight for life is everyone’s fight and you’re making it your business to have an impact.
Your corporate gift helps us fund lifesaving cancer research. It also helps us provide information services and support programs to Canadians and advocate for public policies aimed at preventing cancer and helping those living with the disease.
Ways to give
- Pledge a corporate gift and watch your donation in action for years to come.
- Fund an Innovation Grant or Impact Award and meet your researcher.
- Direct your gift to support programs or research for a particular cancer type.
- Support activities within specific provinces that are served by your business or fund a Canada-wide program.
Corporate sponsorship
Sponsorship opportunities within the Canadian Cancer Society include a variety of fundraising events with enormous reach across diverse communities at the national, provincial and local levels.
Sponsorship is also needed to offset the costs of the information brochures, support and services that are provided free of charge to anyone in Canada. And through cash and in-kind sponsorship, you enable us to divert much-needed funds back into our cancer research efforts and related programs and services.
Daffodil campaign
Partnering with the Canadian Cancer Society through the Daffodil campaign is a powerful way to show your customers, employees and key stakeholders that you are a caring corporate leader. This nationwide campaign asks Canadians to wear a daffodil pin. The pin serves as a symbol to let people fighting cancer know they’re not alone and to remember and honour those who have died.
Become a daffodil pin partner or arrange for daffodil pins to be made available at your offices.
Relay For Life
The Canadian Cancer Society’s national signature event – Relay For Life – provides an opportunity to unite your employees nationwide in an inspirational, non-competitive, 12-hour overnight fundraiser. Participants from the corporate sector and the community come together to celebrate life and to fight cancer. Teams collect donations and take turns walking or running around a track in a festival-like atmosphere. More than $50 million is raised annually across Canada through Relay.
Become a Relay For Life corporate sponsor. Join a global movement to save lives!
- Sponsor a Relay in your community or engage employees by building your own company team.
- Make a cash donation and help reduce the cost of organizing Relays in local communities. The Canadian Cancer Society will ensure that your contribution is recognized through advertising, pre-event activities and onsite promotion on the day of the event.
- Donate products and services and make a valuable contribution to Relay For Life. You can enhance the reputation of your business and help organizers reduce logistical costs.
- Encourage your staff to participate or be a volunteer. There are opportunities to be a team captain, committee chair or member. This is a great way to do valuable networking and learn or improve leadership and event-planning skills.
To learn more about sponsorship opportunities at Relay For Life events in your area, contact your local Canadian Cancer Society office.
Become a Relay For Life National Caring Company
If your company conducts business in more than one province and you want to mobilize your employees both on the community level and nationwide, join our National Caring Company program. For information, contact corporate@cancer.ca. For other ways you can help, visit Relay For Life.
Cause-related marketing
The Canadian Cancer Society provides meaningful opportunities to align your company with Canada’s most respected voice on all cancer issues. Join the fight for life through a cause-related marketing partnership with the Society and demonstrate that your company cares about what matters in the communities you serve.

Corporate fundraising events
By hosting your own fundraising event, such as a company picnic, golf tournament or casual Friday, you can have fun and make a difference in the fight against cancer. It’s a great way to build team spirit and raise awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Host a health and wellness seminar at your workplace
Invite a dietitian to provide healthy recipe suggestions. Hold a low-impact exercise class. Invite our cancer prevention team to lead an information session. Ask employees to make a donation for their attendance.
Kick off the spring and summer with a company-wide potluck or picnic
Eat healthy food and enjoy the outdoors while fundraising for a disease that affects 2 in 5 Canadians.
Recognize your employees, customers or suppliers with a donation in their honour or in lieu of gifts
Celebrate special milestones or occasions throughout the year.
Host a party and donate a percentage of the ticket revenue to the Canadian Cancer Society
If you don’t currently sell tickets, consider charging employees a small fee to attend the event with proceeds donated to the fight against cancer.
Involve your suppliers, customers and stakeholders in the fight for life
Ask them to support the Society by making their own donation in support of your fundraising campaign.
Hold a charity sports tournament
Tournaments are a way to keep energy levels up and maintain an active lifestyle! Do your employees have a league? Why not raise pledges in support of the Society at the same time?
Employee giving
Including your employees in your support of the Canadian Cancer Society is a great way to fight cancer and reinforce a winning team spirit. Your employees’ participation can be an effective way to make a positive impact in the fight against cancer.
Ways to support the Society’s fight for life
- Payroll deduction – Set up a simple, convenient way for your staff to support the Canadian Cancer Society.
- Matching gift – Demonstrate your company’s commitment by matching your employees’ donations to the Society.
- Special events – Host fundraising events such as office barbecues, denim days or casual Fridays to build team spirit.
- Volunteer grant program – Develop a volunteer grant program to reward and recognize employees’ volunteer service.
- Daffodil campaign – Encourage staff to purchase and wear a daffodil pin during the month of April to support a fellow Canadian on a cancer journey.
- Relay For Life – Register a 10-member team in this signature event and fight back against all cancers.
Employee volunteer grants
Turn volunteer time into a charitable gift. Employee volunteer grant programs reward and recognize your staff’s volunteer service and help your company achieve its philanthropic goals.
By offering an employee volunteer grant program in your workplace, you have the opportunity to become a leader in the fight against cancer.
Make a corporate donation to the Canadian Cancer Society when one of your employees or retirees completes a certain number of volunteer hours with the Society. Promoting a spirit of social responsibility not only boosts team spirit, but helps you attract and retain the best employees.
Lend us your employees
Partner with the Canadian Cancer Society by empowering your employees to work with us in a number of ways – administration, project management, event management, fundraising – and more! Each volunteer provides professional expertise and vital resources to our team, enabling us to keep overhead costs low so that more funds can go directly into our programs and services.
Our corporate partners help the Canadian Cancer Society to have more impact, against more cancers, in more communities than any other cancer charity in Canada. To learn how your company can join the fight against cancer, visit our corporate website today.
