SUPPORT CANADIANS LIVING WITH CANCER
Managing symptoms and side effects
Some cancers cause symptoms, which are changes in your body. Treatments for cancer can also cause unwanted symptoms, or side effects. Examples of symptoms and side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and fatigue. They have different causes and can vary in severity and how long they last.
Everyone experiences symptoms and side effects differently. Although they can affect your well-being and quality of life, many can be treated or managed. Talk to your healthcare team if you have symptoms or side effects. They can suggest ways to control them.
