Childhood kidney and renal pelvis cancer statistics include Wilms tumour, and other rare types of kidney cancer found in children. Almost all kidney and renal pelvis cancers found in children are Wilms tumour.
Incidence and mortality
Incidence is the total number of new cases of cancer. Mortality is the number of deaths due to cancer.
The most recent incidence and mortality statistics for kidney and renal pelvis cancer in children aged 0 to 14 years are from 2009 to 2013.
- 220 Canadian children were diagnosed with kidney and renal pelvis cancer.
- 12 Canadian children died from kidney and renal pelvis cancer.
