Testicular cancer statistics

To provide the most current cancer statistics, statistical methods are used to estimate the number of new cancer cases and deaths until actual data become available. For some types of cancer, estimates may be available for the number of new cases but not for the number of deaths because the number of deaths is small. In these cases, the most recent actual mortality data are provided.

Incidence and mortality

Incidence is the total number of new cases of cancer. Mortality is the number of deaths due to cancer.

It is estimated that in 2013:

  • 960 Canadian men will be diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Actual mortality is available for 2009:

  • 29 men died from testicular cancer in Canada.
