Treatment of stage 0 melanoma

The following are treatment options for stage 0, or in situ, melanoma. The types of treatments given are based on the unique needs of the person with cancer.

Surgery

Surgery is the primary treatment for stage 0 melanoma. The tumour is removed by excision along with a 0.5 cm margin of healthy tissue.

Clinical trial discovery improves quality of life
