Incidence and mortality
Incidence is the total number of new cases of cancer. Mortality is the number of deaths due to cancer.
The most recent incidence and mortality statistics for mesothelioma are from 2013:
- 595 Canadians were diagnosed with mesothelioma.
- 485 Canadians died from mesothelioma.
- 470 men were diagnosed with mesothelioma and 383 died from it.
- 125 women were diagnosed with mesothelioma and 102 died from it.
