Treatments for colon cancer
Treatments offered for colon cancer depend on the stage and location of the tumour.
Surgery and chemotherapy are the most common treatments used for colon cancer. Targeted therapy and radiation therapy may also be used in some cases.
Great progress has been made
Some cancers, such as thyroid and testicular, have survival rates of over 90%. Other cancers, such as pancreatic, brain and esophageal, continue to have very low survival rates.
