Steve Craig, of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, has held a broad range of management positions in the business sector for more than 30 years and is currently the regional municipality councillor representing Lower Sackville. An active volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society’s Nova Scotia Division for many years, Steve has been the leadership chair for Sackville’s Relay For Life since initiating the event in his community in 2004 and chair of the Family Campaign for Nova Scotia Division’s Daffodil Place. He has also been a member of the division’s board since 2008. An active member of his community, Steve has been a leadership volunteer in many organizations associated with people’s health and wellness and chaired both the Cobequid Community Health Centre Foundation and the Lake District Recreation Association.
“My wife, Shari, and I have been married 35 years. My father-in-law, Bill Watson, passed away of stomach cancer at age 44. My mother-in-law, Connie, was widowed at 42 and died of lung cancer in 2007. I fight back against cancer because everyone should have a chance to grow old with their loving family.”
