Dr Michael Woods
Dr Michael Woods is a research scientist and an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University. A Canadian Cancer Society–funded researcher, he has an interest in the field of cancer genetics, particularly the hereditary aspects of colorectal cancer. He has a PhD from Memorial University.
Clinical trial discovery improves quality of life
A clinical trial led by the Society’s NCIC Clinical Trials group found that men with prostate cancer who are treated with intermittent courses of hormone therapy live as long as those receiving continuous therapy.
