Public service announcements

Our public service announcements (PSAs) provide important messages about cancer prevention and the services offered by the Canadian Cancer Society.

PSAs help the Society build awareness, promote important community services, recruit volunteers and support special fundraising events. PSAs are available in print format for newspapers and magazines, video for TV and audio for radio.

    Whether you have cancer or you are a caregiver, family member or friend, cancer can change everything. But it doesn't have to be this way. We can change cancer. With the support of our donors and volunteers, the Canadian Cancer Society continues to make great strides in preventing cancer, saving lives and supporting people living with cancer.   • Relay For Life

    Relay For Life is an inspiring, non-competitive, 12-hour overnight fundraising event. Relay brings together nearly 200,000 people from across Canada to celebrate cancer survivors, to remember loved ones lost, to support those who have cancer and to empower communities and individuals to fight back against cancer.

  • Plus campaign

    The Plus campaign is back. For its third edition, it got a new look with new faces, and offers the population the opportunity to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) thanks to a new online donation catalog. 

    The three-pronged Plus campaign (research, prevention, support) will help donors better understand the impact of their donation on concrete CCS projects. Thanks to, the donor will be able to learn about one of the nine projects put forward for this campaign and discover what will be the tangible benefits of their investment.

Some cancers, such as thyroid and testicular, have survival rates of over 90%. Other cancers, such as pancreatic, brain and esophageal, continue to have very low survival rates.
