Montréal -

It is with great pleasure that Groupe BMR, proud partner of the Relay for Life, has handed a cheque in the amount of $50,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society. This contribution reflects one of Groupe BMR and its BMR, Unimat and Agrizone dealers’ philanthropic priority: health.

"The Canadian Cancer Society is very involved in communities through the Relay for Life events. With our 325 hardware stores and home renovation centers scattered throughout Québec, Ontario and the Maritime Provinces, we felt we could help the CCS reach its goals. In addition to giving the CCS a financial contribution, we decided to also get involved by holding an in-house campaign encouraging BMR dealers and their thousands of employees to take part in their local Relay for Life", said Pascal Houle, CEO of Groupe BMR.

In total, 14 teams made up of employees from the great Groupe BMR family took part in their local Relay for Life, raising over $20,000. Added to Groupe BMR's $50,000 cheque, the company gave over $70,000 in total to the CCS.

"You can count on us to be part of next year's events again", added Mr. Houle.
