Montreal -

The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) – Quebec Division is proud to announce that it has received nearly $640,000 from the Comité Entraide – public and parapublic sectors. The Comité Entraide’s campaign helps raise funds for three large philanthropic groups, namely Centraide, HealthPartners-Quebec, and the Canadian Red Cross, Quebec Division. In total, more than $7.5 million was raised in 2013 from Quebec government employees and retirees. Of this, $2,351,580 was given to HealthPartners-Quebec and its sixteen members, including the CCS – Quebec Division which was the beneficiary of the exceptional sum of $637,788 (27% of all donations made to HealthPartners in Quebec).

“Without donations from the public and the undeniable sense of sharing that men and women have, like the employees and retirees of the Quebec government, the CCS couldn’t do as much. Thank you for believing that together we can save more lives,” says Suzanne Dubois, Executive Director of the CCS – Quebec Division. “Because of your backing, our support and prevention efforts will bring greater results and will help thousands of Quebecers touched by cancer.”

The mission of HealthPartners-Quebec is to raise funds at the workplace for health charities that support research and ensure the delivery of healthcare programs and services. Information: http://www.partenairesante.qc.ca
