Based on feedback from participants, we will be providing two options for participants. They can choose to register from 6p.m. to midnight, or they can register for the traditional overnight Relay, from 6p.m. until 6a.m.  The Kensington event will be the only exception, taking place from 4p.m. until midnight.

Since 2002 we have raised an astounding $4,443,888 on Prince Edward Island through Relay For Life and in 2013 the events contributed close to $300,000 to our work.

Relay For Life is the PEI Division’s signature fundraising event, providing approximately 30% of our overall funds.    Last year, alone, our division was able to support over 2,200 Islanders through our various programs, we were able to advocate for changes to public policy that will help protect Islanders and we were able to invest in important research that will help us better understand how to prevent and treat the disease.

Last year was an especially exciting year as we launched the province-wide Relay For Life Dream Team.  This Dream Team is a group of community leaders who each committed to raising $5,000 in support of the cause and to help raise awareness through their personal stories.  They all bravely shared their experiences and took on various initiatives to raise their funds.  The 2013 team comprised 7 individuals last year collectively raised almost $40,000.
