“Lorraine is a passionate advocate for the north and brings 15 years of healthcare governance experience,” says Barbara Kaminsky, CEO, Canadian Cancer Society BC and Yukon. “Her contribution to the success of our Northern Lodge campaign is just one example of her commitment to the cancer cause and to our organization.”
Grant has been a long standing volunteer for the Society. She served as Board Director for three years and also served as Northern Regional President. She has been involved in the Prince George Relay for Life and the Society’s annual daffodil campaign.
“Too many of my friends and family have been touched by cancer,” says Grant. “I am very pleased to serve as Board Chair and look forward to the next two years.”

At the annual general meeting, Schein was awarded the Canadian Cancer Society’s National Citation of Merit. The award recognizes Society volunteers who have contributed significantly to the work of the Society over a minimum of five years.
