    Heels For Hope (Thursday, March 2nd, 2017)

    Daffodil Month (the month of April)

    The month of April has long been the Canadian Cancer Society's biggest month for fundraising as this is the month for Daffodil Pin Sales, live Daffodil flower sales, our Residential Canvassing campaign, Paint the Town Yellow, Daffodil Teas, as well as a number of other special events.     Great Ride 'n' Stride (Sunday, April 30th, 2017)

    The Canadian Cancer Society Great Ride 'n' Stride is a non-competitive, pledge-based fundraising event organized by the Society. The Kitchener-Waterloo event will be held at Conestoga College's Doon Campus (299 Doon Valley Road). Participants can choose to ride their bikes, walk, or run our varying routes.     Relay For Life (Friday, June 16th, 2017)

    In 2017, we're taking it back, waaaay back to the days of a 12-hour Relay happening at the Waterloo Regional Police Association. Bring your RV, bring your tent and bring your favourite team with you to raise funds in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. For the first time ever, the Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Woolwich and Wellington County Relays will join together into one spectacular event so grab the baton and register today.

    Mudmoiselle (Saturday, September 9th, 2017)

    We are excited to announce our newest event, Mudmoiselle! The Mudmoiselle obstacle course is a 5K stretch of the muckiest, filthiest, slimiest mud. It’s where your inner child runs free while testing your endurance, strength and determination.  This event is open to all fitness levels - it's all about building a support team around you while raising money for cancer research.

    The Waterloo-Wellington Community Office is always looking for dedicated people to help make a big difference in our community. We have volunteer positions in a variety of areas. Below is a list of our current volunteer opportunities.

    Daffodil Month Pin Sales (March 30 - April 30, 2017)

    We are currently looking for volunteers to sell daffodil pins at various locations in Waterloo-Wellington from March 30 - April 30. You are welcome to register for as many Daffodil Month shifts as you are able to, and don't forget to ask a friend or family member to volunteer with you!  Shifts are constantly being added so keep checking back.     Relay For Life Leadership Committee (Ongoing - June 2017)

    Have you ever thought about what it takes to make Relay happen? The answer is a group of dedicated volunteers. Our leadership committee consists of approximately 20 hard-working, energetic and talented individuals from across Waterloo-Wellington who donate their time over approximately 8 months every year. We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

    • Luminary Chair - work with the Luminary sub-committee and Event Chair to create and implement a luminary sales strategy (pre-event and event day).
    • Luminary sub-committee
    • Teams sub-committee - assist in the promotion and team recruitment for Relay For Life by working collaboratively with the Teams Recruitment Chair
    • Activities & Mission Chair - integrate CCS key messaging through creative and interactive on-site activities throughout the event
    • Entertainment Co-Chair - assist with the planning of all the on-stage entertainment, creating an enjoyable, memorable and engaging event experience for all Relay For Life participants
