  • Volunteer opportunities

    Volunteer for an hour, a day, or as much as you want.

    We have the following volunteer opportunities available

    Fundraising:
    • Quinte Ex – September 1-4
    • Grapes of Wrath – September 10th     
    • Fundraising committee leaders to help organize events
    Community Services:
    • Oncology Volunteers at BGH
    • Peer support volunteers
    • Group support facilitator for our Caregiver’s Coffee Group, Teen Cancer Support Group and to form a new support group serving the Northern areas
    Information Outreach:
    • Presentations volunteer
    • Pamphlet Distribution in Marmora area
    • Display volunteers
    Volunteer Drivers Needed - FOR MADOC and MARMORA area

    Responsibilities are picking up clients from their homes and drive them to and from cancer-related treatment, supportive care and follow up appointments. You should be friendly and compassionate, reliable and sensitive to issues facing people living with cancer. Driver requirements to be discussed at time of telephone interview. Training is provided as well as mileage reimbursement. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a flexible schedule and make a significant impact in the life of a person living with cancer.

    Leadership:

    We are currently recruiting leadership volunteers in the following community branches:

    Tweed, Madoc, Quinte West, Brighton, Bancroft, Tyendinaga and Stirling Branches.

    Grapes of Wrath - Prince Edward County's Extreme Romp and Stomp 2016

    September 10th, 2016 – Hillier Creek Estates Winery

    This 5K extreme run demands endurance to trek through hill and valleys, splash through winding streams, courage to overcome uncompromising obstacles and a complete lack of shame to sludge through dirt and mud all in the name of a good cause.
