    Daffodil Month is in April

The Daffodil is the symbol of the Canadian Cancer Society.  Wearing a Daffodil Pin during the month of April, shows that you are not only working to end cancer, but you support those living with cancer.  You can find Volunteers collecting donations for Daffodil Pins during the month of April at retail stores and locations across Grey & Bruce.
If you would like to participate as a Daffodil Volunteer, please click HERE or contact Emily at 519.376.6011 or emily.bisson@ontario.cancer.ca.

  • Volunteer opportunities

Volunteering with the Society is a great opportunity for you to make a positive impact in your community, be part of a team, share your experience, learn new skills and develop lasting friendships. Volunteers are critical to our accomplishments and we wouldn’t be able to support, inform and empower those touched by cancer without you.

When you join our nationwide team, you have the combined strength of volunteers from across the country standing behind you to help you make a difference in someone’s life.

    Daffodil Month

During the month of April, join us at grocery stores and the Grey Bruce Regional Health Services Hospital in Owen Sound. You will assist us in selling Daffodil Pins to help raise money and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society.

You can sign up for a Daffodil shift HERE or contact the Bluewater Unit office: 519.376.6011 or e-mail Emily for more information: emily.bisson@ontario.cancer.ca

DRIVERS - Wheels Of Hope Program

The road to recovery needs more drivers …with the kindness and support of volunteer drivers, cancer patients only need to worry about getting better and beating cancer for good.

As a volunteer driver, you’ll pick patients up from their home and take them to their attending hospital or regional cancer centre. You’ll be there to offer friendly support and kindness at a time when they need it the most. And when their treatment is done, you’ll make sure they get home. You can drive as suits your schedule, from Monday to Friday.

Please call the Bluewater Unit office: 519.376.6011 or e-mail for more information: bluewater@ontario.cancer.ca
