April is Daffodil Month

Do something right now to fight cancer or make life better for someone who has it.

Most of us have a cancer story. We’ve all been touched by the disease, directly or indirectly. There are more than 200 different types of cancers and a million ways that these cancers touch our health, families, friends and relationships. That’s a lot of stories. Make your story the reason you give.

Support the Canadian Cancer Society this spring, during Daffodil Month:

Buy Daffodils and Pins

Daffodil Days runs from March 31 - April 3, 2011. Bunches of daffodils will be available for $7 each or 2 bunches for $12. Volunteers will be selling daffodils at some community locations throughout Ontario.

New this year, the Society will ‘sell’ daffodil pins by donation. The daffodil pin is to be worn as a symbol of courage and support in honour of cancer survivors, loved ones and friends currently on a cancer journey. In some communities, the daffodil pin will replace the sale of fresh cut flowers.

Give generously at the door

Neighbourhood canvasses will take place throughout the entire month of April and thousands of Canadian Cancer Society volunteers will be knocking on doors across Ontario.

Because this isn’t just another appeal – it’s about you making cancer history.

The money raised during Daffodil Month makes a real difference. It helps the Canadian Cancer Society fund life-saving cancer research, provide up-to-date and reliable information about cancer to the public and deliver community support services.

The History of Daffodil Days

Daffodil Days began in Toronto as tea parties in the 1950s.

How to identify a Society volunteer

Much-needed support services

You don’t have to face cancer alone. Canadian Cancer Society volunteers provide crucial support services for people living with cancer in your community.

Support those who support us

We could not do what we do without the support of the corporate partners who have joined us this Daffodil Month.
