Head for a Cure
Head shaves or hair cuts are one of the most popular ways to fundraise for the Canadian Cancer Soceity.
Step-by-step guide:

You must first decide if to do a group or individual event. For groups recruit friends, school mates, family, or work colleagues willing to share their head, cut their hair or shave their beards.

Establish a reasonable fundraising goal.

Determine the date, time, and location for your event.

Find a hairstylist to cut hair.

Start collecting donations. (pledge sheets available)

Get creative and brainstorm some additional ways to raise revenue.

Promote your event among your family, friends, coworkers, colleagues, your community and your local media.

Remember to take lots of photos!

Collect your funds and submit them to you our
office.

Be sure to thank everyone who volunteered, assisted and/or donated.
How to prepare hair for donation
If you would like to donate your hair to help make wigs for people living with cancer , please follow these instructions:

it must be clean, dry and not swept off the floor

it must be a minimum length of 8 inches (25 cm)

it should not be chemically treated (bleach, colour or perm)
