Have a Pink Party!

The Canadian Cancer Society has put a twist on the idea of home parties. We've created a party to talk about...our breasts!

A Pink Party is meant to be a fun informal way to share life-saving information about breast cancer screening and breast health with your friends and colleagues. Pink Parties are similar to other home parties, except that nothing is being sold at a Pink Party. We’ve added an educational component to something that is already fun!

Your Pink Party could be held over lunch with the women at your office, as part of a potluck at your place (“Pink Potluck”) or with a group of your girlfriends on a Saturday Night. Be creative…let’s get people talking!

I Want to Have One! Now What?

Once you have picked a date and invited your guests (less than 20 is ideal, the maximum is 25) please contact the Canadian Cancer Society and ask for a free Pink Party Kit. Phone: 1-800-455-9090 or Email: ccsnb@nb.cancer.ca

* The kits are only available to residents of New Brunswick.

Your kit includes everything you need:

  • Breast Trivia Game (the ultimate conversation starter)
  • Cervical Cancer Quiz
  • Early detection and screening pamphlets and shower cards
  • A Thingamaboob keychain for each
  • Pink themed decorating, food and drink ideas

There is no cost whatsoever associated with having a Pink Party.

“Our Pink Party was a huge success. We all wore some kind of pink and two of the women had pink hair. We had 26 women attend with ages from early twenties to mid fifties. There was a lot of conversation and sharing of experiences with the group.” – Connie Bartlett, Health & Wellness Coordinator, J.D. Irving, Equipment Division

“We had a lot of wrong answers [to the Breast Trivia game] and as I told the girls we all learned a lot. It was a real education in breast health.” – Patricia Perrin, Bay-West Red Hatters
