Nutrition and fitness

Up to 35% of all cancers can be prevented by being active, eating well and maintaining a healthy body weight. After not smoking, maintaining a healthy body weight is one of the best things you can do to reduce your risk of getting cancer.

Even small changes to what you eat and how active you are can make a difference to your risk of cancer. A healthy body weight will mean different things to different people – healthy bodies come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Your doctor can help you understand what is a healthy body weight for you.
